Grand Banks Teak with Cushions Club Chair

Our Grand Banks Collection has a traditional look composed of solid teak and features deep seating that adds both charm and convenience to your space. The club chair has a fine, sanded finish for less long-term maintenance over the years. The back seating frame consists of vertical slats and the arms feature curved detailing. The teak used is plantation grown, European grade teak furniture from FSC-certified upcycled teak wood, gathered from old-growth, FSC-certified forests, across the Indonesian archipelago. The teak wood undergoes a six-week kiln drying process of taking moisture out of the wood. This is important because the moisture in the teak wood is what causes the finished product to shrink or expand with changes in temperature and humidity. Making it one of the most durable materials we carry, teak is the only material with a natural resistance to water, insects, mold, and mildew. Each piece is a combination of machine-made for precision and handmade with traditional Mortise and Tenon construction for smooth and tight joinery to showcase the elements from local artisans.
